FACILITY USE

The gates at Camp Bethany will be open from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm for all scheduled events. At other times, the hours will be from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. The gates will be locked at all other hours for security reasons. Unless a scheduled program is in session, the gates will be locked all day Sunday. Camp or retreat directors will be responsible for keeping the gate after 10:00 pm. The speed limit of 20 mph shall be observed and enforced. Automobiles and any other mode of transportation will be parked in the campers’ parking lot across the street from the dining hall while camp is in session. Vehicles will not be allowed in the cabin area except for delivery and pickup of campers and luggage. The parking lot and drive parallel to the dining hall are reserved for delivery trucks and staff parking ONLY! Firearms will be permitted only when they are to be used as part of a scheduled camp course. They are to be secured in the camp office at all other times. No fireworks will be permitted at any time. The operating dates of for the swimming pool are form May 1 through September 30. The pool will be used only during the scheduled hours. Only the camp’s lifeguards, who hold a Red Cross Certified Senior Lifesaving Certificate and/or a WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certificate, will be allowed on duty. They must be on duty at all times or the pool will not be opened. Associational camps will schedule separate swimming times for males and females. Swimming times must be scheduled with the camp manager 2 weeks prior to the session. Each swimming session will not exceed two hours in duration. The cost of using the pool is $20.00 per day for camps, day camps, and overnight retreats. For swimming parties, the cost is $10.00 lifeguard fee and a fifty cent fee per person. Fish only from the back of the lake. No boats are permitted unless used in a scheduled supervised program. No swimming will be allowed in the lake.

CLEAN UP

Every group is responsible for camp clean up. If, at the discretion of the camp manager, the grounds and buildings are not left in good order, the sponsoring organization will be billed a $25.00 clean up fee.
